Day 1: Madurai Arrival – Meenakshi Amman Temple – Rameswaram (170km/4hrs)
Today morning arrive at Madurai. After refreshment, visit the majestic Meenakshi Amman Temple, a grand architectural marvel and one of the most revered temples in South India. If time permits, visit Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal or Gandhi Memorial Museum. After lunch, proceed to Rameswaram, the sacred town on Pamban Island. Check in at hotel. Evening at leisure near Agni Theertham beach. Overnight stay at Rameswaram.
Day 2: Rameswaram Sightseeing
Today morning after breakfast, begin full-day sightseeing in Rameswaram. Visit the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple, known for its massive corridors and 22 holy theerthams. Then explore Ramar Patham, Lakshman Theertham, and Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple (with floating stones). Visit the iconic Pamban Bridge, followed by a visit to the APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial. Later enjoy beach time or local shopping. Overnight stay at Rameswaram.
Day 3: Dhanushkodi – Arichalmunai – Lighthouse – Kothandaramaswamy Temple – Madurai Drop (170km/4hrs)
Today early morning after breakfast, proceed to Dhanushkodi, the ghost town at the edge of India. Explore the remains of the old church, railway station, and other ruins. Visit the Lighthouse for panoramic views of the sea and town. Continue to Arichalmunai, the last point of Indian land where the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean meet. En route, visit the Kothandaramaswamy Temple (Godhanda Ramar Swami Temple), believed to be the place where Vibishana surrendered to Lord Rama. After sightseeing, return journey to Madurai. Drop at Madurai Railway Station/Airport as per your schedule.
