Day 1: Chennai – Crocodile Park – Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (170km/4.5hrs)
Today morning, we pick you up from Chennai and begin our journey towards Pondicherry with enroute sightseeing. Our first stop will be at the **Madras Crocodile Bank**, home to a fascinating collection of reptiles including crocodiles, alligators, snakes, and turtles – a perfect blend of education and excitement. Then, we proceed to **Mahabalipuram**, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we visit the ancient **Shore Temple**, **Pancha Rathas**, **Arjuna’s Penance**, **Krishna’s Butter Ball**, and **Mahishasuramardini Cave**. After lunch and a brief beach stop, we continue the drive to **Pondicherry**. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure or explore the nearby **Rock Beach**. Overnight stay at Pondicherry.
Day 2: Pondicherry Sightseeing
Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Pondicherry. Visit **Aurobindo Ashram**, a serene spiritual center established by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Then explore **Manakula Vinayagar Temple**, known for its majestic architecture and elephant blessings. Proceed to **Pondicherry Museum**, showcasing rare sculptures and artifacts, and **French War Memorial**, symbolizing the city’s colonial past. Post lunch, visit the tranquil town of **Auroville**, where the centerpiece is the Matrimandir, a spiritual meditation dome. Spend the evening at leisure on **Promenade Beach** or enjoy shopping in the **French quarters**. Return to hotel and overnight stay at Pondicherry.
Day 3: Pondicherry Sightseeing – Chennai Drop (170km/4.5hrs)
Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, check out from hotel and continue local sightseeing. Visit **Chunnambar Boat House**, known for backwater rides and scenic views. Optionally, relax at **Paradise Beach** accessible by boat. If time permits, explore **Botanical Garden** or **Bharathi Park**. After lunch, we begin our return journey to Chennai with beautiful coastal views along the East Coast Road (ECR). Drop at Chennai Railway Station/Airport as per your departure schedule.
