**Day 1: Chennai**
Today morning arrive at Chennai, check in at the hotel and after refreshment we will begin sightseeing. First, we visit **Kapaleeshwarar Temple**, a magnificent example of Dravidian architecture dedicated to Lord Shiva. Next, we visit **Parthasarathy Temple**, one of the oldest temples in Chennai dedicated to Lord Krishna (Parthasarathy), rich in history and heritage. Afterward, we proceed to **San Thome Basilica**, built over the tomb of St. Thomas the Apostle. Then we head to **Marina Beach**, India’s longest urban beach, for a relaxing evening by the shore. Later, we explore the **Government Museum** at Egmore with its collection of South Indian art and archaeology, and visit **Valluvar Kottam**, a monument dedicated to the Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar. Return to the hotel and **overnight stay at Chennai**.
**Day 2: Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Chennai (60km/1.5hrs one way)**
Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we will proceed for a full-day excursion to Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram), a coastal UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival, we will visit the **Shore Temple**, an iconic Pallava-era structure overlooking the sea. Then, explore the **Pancha Rathas (Five Rathas)** – rock-cut monolithic temples representing the Pandavas, followed by the massive **Arjuna’s Penance** bas-relief. Also visit **Krishna’s Butter Ball**, a mysterious boulder balanced on a hill slope, and the **Mahishasuramardini Cave**, known for its intricate carvings. After lunch and beach leisure, we return to Chennai. **Overnight stay at Chennai.**
**Day 3: Chennai – Drop**
Today morning after refreshment and breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and continue sightseeing with a visit to **Birla Planetarium**, featuring space-themed exhibits and digital sky shows. Next, explore **Guindy National Park**, a unique urban wildlife sanctuary. Optionally, visit **DakshinaChitra**, a heritage village museum that showcases the architecture and crafts of South India. Later, enjoy time for shopping at **T. Nagar or Pondy Bazaar** for silk sarees, jewelry, and souvenirs. Finally, drop at **Chennai Railway Station/Airport** as per your departure schedule.
